Blind love

You’ve been sent with a mission to analyse love

An awkward position, even for God above.

To stir up feelings that have laid hidden

And step through the boundaries that are forbidden.

Your eyes say more that the words you utter;

Your heart kindles more that the words you mutter.

A barrier so strong, holding you back

The nearness between us does not seem to lack.

You write a kind letter, you sing a sweet song

You do not know where your feelings belong.

The barrier fondles, tells innocent lies

Hurting you so, brings tears to your eyes.

But you smile and comfort, you’re always there,

You know when to scold and know when to care.

A blind man sees with his heart, not his eyes

He needs not his sight to see through a disguise

Wrong can often be make into right,

And where there is darkness, there has to be light. ©
