Broken heart

Don’t say you’re sorry,

I can’t take it anymore.

Don’t look down on me with pity,

I’ve seen it all before.

I need to hide my growing fears,

Just smile and walk away.

I need to cry those unshed tears,

I can’t if you must stay.

I can’t express my feelings anymore,

I know, I’ve tried.

I’ve built a wall around me,

It’s the only place to hide.

So don’t you say you’re sorry

And please leave me alone,

When I find my wandering mind again,

I’ll let you know I’m home. ©
