We were bound, we were a family

We could cry and then laugh happily.

There were times we felt so very proud, of his name

and we would sing it loud.

This world’s not perfect, he deserved a better place

In this life, we could see pain in the eyes of his face.

When he passed away, he had peaceful look;

there was no frown on his brow, but the lines of his next book.

Now he’s gone, and we will carry on

like he would’ve wanted us to,

He didn’t think it wrong.

And we have the memories

that we used to share, but we can’t fill up the gap he left

for we’ll always know he’s there.

May he find peace, in his new life

not forgetting of his children

and his loving devoted wife.

He was respected, and will be missed by everyone,

but there’s a chapter in his book of life,

that’s only just begun. ©
