False Love

We were friends, we were almost one

Understanding is a word I now call a pun

I respected and believed in you

And our friendship, that you broke in two

I let you see the real me

A mistake I made so easily.

You hurt me friend, and you know why

Our friendship was a living lie.

Time has healed me and now I pray

That you will understand some day.

Friendship meant the most to me

Friendship that was meant to be.

The hurt resulted because of lust

It was you who said that I should trust.

That lust is just a memory now

Stoop down low and take a bow.

Lost friendship is what makes me sad

I miss the only thing we had.

If our friendship was ever true to you

Mend the crack, make it new.©
