Unseen

I’ve noticed the smile, the curls in your hair

those sparkling eyes, I had to stare

My heart skips a beat when I hear your name

but you probably think it’s just a game.

You know how I feel, you have been told

but you don’t seem to care; I’m shut out in the cold

The impression on your face, the hope in your eyes,

hidden beneath an uncaring disguise.

What is it that you’re afraid of, don’t be shy to tell

Don’t ignore me, don’t pretend,

you can’t hide it very well.

All I ask is that you be you and get to know the me.

‘Cos I’m trying hard and you’re no help

I love you, can’t you see? ©
