Wherever you are

So far apart are we, but oh so very near

Our hearts that beat as one in the myriad sky of stars so clear

As I look out from my window at the studded sky at night

I see you, only you, the evening star so bright.

When morning awakes me and dawn comes and takes me,

The evening star has gone,

But you appear in the dusky sky

As the morning star brightly shone.

And when all the stars have disappeared and the sky is a downy blue

I look up and there you are, a warm sun shining true

So no matter where you are, whatever you may do,

I will always have the heavenly sky to help me think of you.©
