Mind’s eye

Teasing, taunting sounds within my mind

disrupting peace and innocent thoughts, I find

confused suspicions dominate the kind

of image I have created in my mind.

False pretence commands my wakening soul

to smile, to laugh, to play the leading role –

The stage portrays my character, my life a scroll,

blinding mankind as the sun would blind a mole.

Deep inside eruption waits its turn,

a fire of fury eagerly to burn

An explosion of emotion I do yearn

till times dies it out and all but sparks return.©
