You took from me my life

How could you?

How could you take from me what’s rightfully mine?

Like a thief in the night, you took from me my heart.

And why? Wherefore?

Have you no heart of your own

that you must tear mine apart?

Speak! I shall listen, for you leave yourself in debt.

Fears will subside but the tears I’ve cried, I never will forget.

How could you?

How could you take from me what’s rightfully mine?

As quick as lightening strikes, you took from me my pride.

And how? What for?

Have you no pride of your own,

that you must quench what has long gone died?

Listen! I shall speak, for you leave me no choice.

My hour has come, thy will has been done.

Hear now, only the whispering echo of my voice... ©
